Salsafication
Way back in 2011, I never thought I would be part of something this big. The Salsafication of the United States of America. I never set out to create a #salsatakeover. I just wanted some spending money. In the last seven years, I have learned many, many things. Not the least of which is the fact that salsa is like the Justin Timberlake of the food world. Versatile, adaptable, and delicious. Yeah, I said it.
1. Did you know that you can replace canned tomatoes in almost any recipe with Chip Magnet Salsa? Bruschetta calls for Garlicious, while chicken tacos pretty much demand Mango Habanero (plain Mango if you're Scandinavian), Cilantro Lime makes a mean Spanish rice, and chili practically begs for Black Bean.
2. Did you know that many of our salsas have no added sugar, making them a super healthy, low calorie snack? Cilantro Lime, Garlicious, Black Bean, Garlic Chipotle Lime, Wildly Delicious, Hades, and Hot Mess will tip the scale in your favor if low calorie eating is what you are looking for. Use any of these flavors to top a skinless chicken breast, a baked potato, or grilled fish. Your body will thank you, but your new clothes shopping budget might not.
3. You will be the life of any party if you bring a few jars of Chip Magnet Salsa to pass.
4. Try Mango or Mango Habanero as your go to sauce for your next plate of nachos, quesadilla, taquito, burrito, taco, tostada, or enchilada. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how well the combination of savory and sweet goes together. Brilliant.
5. Two words. Compound butter.
6. Mix your favorite flavor of Chip Magnet Salsa with mayo (we use equal parts) and use it as a dip for chicken nuggets, fries, or tater tots. Not a fan of mayo? Nix the mayo and use sour cream or yogurt, instead. Your nachos will never be the same.
7. Salsa + oil + blender = marinade for meat.
8. Gourmet Mac & Cheese. Homemade or box, stir 1/4cup salsa into finished mac, top with breadcrumbs, and broil for a few minutes. Finish it off with a dollop of sour cream. You won't be sorry.
9. Which came first? We don't care. We want you to put salsa on them both. Deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette, breakfast burrito, quiche, or fried eggs and hash browns; chicken pot pie, fried chicken, wings, or nuggets. We promise, salsa makes them all better.
